Virtual Learning Days

Otsego Local Schools may use calamity days when school must close due to severe weather or other unexpected circumstances. On some closure days, students will participate in virtual learning activities instead of attending school in person.

As of January 20, 2026, the district has used five (5) calamity days. The next school closure will include virtual learning activities.

What Virtual Learning Looks Like

Junior High & High School

  • Lessons and assignments will be posted in Google Classroom
  • Teachers will communicate expectations directly with students

Elementary School

  • Students will complete a Virtual Choice Board
  • One activity from each column should be completed for each virtual learning day
  • A new Choice Board will be used for every closure day
  • Choice Boards will be sent home and posted below

Important Notes

  • Work will be due after students return to school, based on teacher guidance
  • Accommodations will be made for students with limited internet access or other extenuating circumstances
  • Students receiving services will continue to receive appropriate modifications and accommodations
