Each student is equipped with a district-managed device to ensure equitable access to digital resources and 21st-century learning opportunities.

What should I do if my child’s Chromebook is broken or not working?
Your child should bring it to their building office to submit a work request and get a loaner device.

Are students allowed to bring personal devices instead of school-issued Chromebooks?
No. For safety, consistency, and monitoring purposes, all students must use district-issued devices. Please see our Personal Communication Device Policy

How does the district monitor student online activity?
All Chromebooks and Google accounts are monitored by Lightspeed to ensure student safety, CIPA compliance, and responsible use.

What steps does Otsego take to protect student data privacy?
We only work with vendors who sign data privacy agreements or comply with Ohio Student Privacy Alliance standards. Staff and students are trained on data security best practices.
