The History of Otsego Football
Otsego football has been a source of pride and tradition since the program’s very first team took the field in 1959. Over the years, generations of Knights have created lasting memories—on Friday nights under the lights, in rival matchups, and on unforgettable playoff runs, including the 1981 season that took Otsego all the way to the state championship game.
Otsego supporter and current announcer, Mike Godfrey, has carefully compiled the complete history of the football program, documenting each season with summaries, records, and rosters of lettermen. Thanks to his dedication, our community has a detailed record of the players, coaches, and milestones that shaped Otsego football into what it is today.
On this page, you’ll find:
- A link to the full season-by-season history
- A complete list of Otsego football lettermen
- A collection of individual and team records

This collection is more than statistics and scores—it’s a celebration of the Knights’ legacy, honoring the athletes and coaches who helped build the strong tradition of Otsego football.
