Web Filter Information
Students using personal computers (at school or at home) will have to install a certificate in order to use their Google account. This is required in order to allow each users web traffic to pass through our web filter.
Mac Users Click Here
Windows Users
Download 'Otsego Web Filter Setup.exe' below and run it. After the installer is finished, REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER. You will now be able to login to the web filter as normal and begin using your Otsego Google account.

- Download the file above (Otsego Web Filter Certificate.der)
- Click on the downloaded file to run it
You may be asked to type in your computer password
- From the drop-down menu, select 'System', then click the 'Add' button
Your keychain window should appear
- Select 'System' from the upper-left of the window
- Right-click on 'Lightspeed Rocket' and choose 'Get Info'
- Change the first drop-down menu called 'When using this certificate' to 'Always Trust'
- Close the window
You may be asked for your Mac password in order to save the changes
- REBOOT YOUR COMPUTER! You can then login to the web filter as normal and begin using your Otsego Google account.
Manual Install for Windows Users
- Click the link above (Web Filter Certificate.der) to download the certificate
- Once downloaded, click on the file to run it
- Click the 'Open' button
- Click 'Install Certificate'
- Click the 'Next' button
- Click 'Place all certificates in the following store'
- Click the 'Browse' button
- Click on 'Trusted Root Certification Authorities'
- Then click the 'OK' button
- Click the 'Next' button
- Click the 'Finish' button
