Weston Elementary Boosters (WEB) is the parent-teacher organization
at Weston Elementary School. There are many programs and special events
that we provide to enrich the lives of our students. WEB relies solely on
volunteers and is always looking for individuals to share ideas or help
with projects. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at
6:00pm in the art room.WEB sponsors several educational enhancement
events during the school year. In the past these experiences have
included musical or theatrical performances such as the Toledo Symphony,
Treehouse Troupe, and other productions from around the state. Other
presentations, such as the Toledo Zoo and COSI On Wheels give students
special opportunities to expand their learning with real world
experiences.
December is the time for Santa’s Workshop, a craft show that offers
affordable and unique shopping for students and adults alike. We also
provide free gift-wrapping for the gifts students buy during school hours.
During the fall, we have one fundraising project, the TMK Food
Catalog.
Other support from our group includes participation in collecting
Box Tops for Education, Tyson labels, and Campbell Soup labels in order to
purchase classroom materials and working with AAA on the Crossing Guard
program. WEB works with teachers and annually recognizes their efforts.
We often provide refreshments for special events like Open House, Quiz
Bowl meets, Student Council Inauguration, Grandparents’ Day and serve a
picnic to all students on the final day of school.
In the past, WEB has been able to purchase such things as ceiling
fans and window screens for all classrooms, computer software and
printers, picnic tables, playground equipment and landscaping, a roof
connecting the modular to the main building, and new sidewalks.
We are committed to helping make Weston Elementary a great place to
learn. We invite you to join us in our support.
