HIGH SCHOOL DAILY SCHEDULES Welcome to the Otsego Junior High School’s official web page! I am Principal, Jeff Snyder, and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our website. We are a rural junior high school in Northwest, Ohio near Toledo and Bowling Green, with a student population of approximately 360 students in grades 6-9. Outside of the classroom we are members of the Northern Buckeye Conference. We field competitive teams in 7th and 8th grade football, 7th and 8th grade girls and boys cross country, girls 7th and 8th grade volleyball, girls and boys 7th and 8th grade basketball, 7th and 8th grade wrestling, and track. Our mascot is the Knight and our school colors are black, orange, and white. Our students also participate in a variety of club activities including: Quiz Bowl, Student Council, Math Club, and National Junior Honor Society. We also have spirited junior high choirs and bands that perform in concerts throughout the year. Each year our staff is introduced to a new group of students. It is an exciting process to watch these students come into the junior high school a bit apprehensive but leave the junior high school as mature adolescents ready to succeed at the high school level. Otsego Junior High School is the transitional phase and link between the elementary and high school. At the junior high school level we build on what was learned at the elementary level and then prepare our students for the high school level. Parents are encouraged to remain involved in their child's educational experience during this transitional time period as students begin experiencing more responsibilities and independence. Overall, Otsego Junior High School is an active place of learning where we address the needs of every student and our goal is to help our students to become independent and thoughtful participants in their own education.
