more.

Reading A-Z
In coop with BGSU, the Reading A-Z program is a supplimental reading program
that provides one-on-one or small group instruction to students throughout the
day. It's goal is t improve students' reading ability through leveled
instruction.
Reading Recovery
Reading Recovery is a highly effective short-term intervention of one-on-one
lessons for low-achieving first graders. In Reading Recovery, individual
students receive a half-hour lesson each school day for 12 to 20 weeks with a
specially trained Reading Recovery teacher. Haskins' Reading Recovery
teacher is Mrs. Nancy Villalta. As soon as students reach grade level
literacy expectations and demonstrate that they can continue to learn through
their own efforts, their lessons are discontinued and new students begin
individual instruction. This program has been very effective since its
start at Haskins.
