Downey Woodpecker

This is by far the most common Woodpecker however there are more woodpeckers that live in Wood County.  This Woodpecker can be mistaken for the Hairy Woodpecker who is just a little larger.  They have a white breast and their backs have a horizontal white stripe on black pattern with a white region in the middle of its wing partitions.
