This is by far the most common Woodpecker however there are
more woodpeckers that live in Wood County. This Woodpecker can be
mistaken for the Hairy Woodpecker who is just a little larger. They
have a white breast and their backs have a horizontal white stripe on
black pattern with a white region in the middle of its wing partitions.
