Baltimore Oriole

Orioles are attracted to shade trees and orchards.  This is to facilitate their diet of berries and their nests of finely woven weed.  They eat blackberries, blueberries, elderberries, mulberries, and serviceberries.  This bird is known for it's colorful plumage and strong melodically delightful voice.  The song is known to very from bird to bird.  Their orange underside, back, and tail feathers are complemented by black highlighted wing bars.  The bird is of course a pleasant visitor but they are somewhat of a rarity.  Former (eastern) Baltimore and (western) Bullock's Orioles are now regarded a 1 species.
