I need empty plastic coffee canisters, with the handle build into them. I think it’s the Folgers brand. If you have one, please send it to school with your child and have them take it to the office. I will pick it up from there. Please send to school by March 9, 2012. Thanks - Katherine London, co-chair spaghetti dinner.

Current officers from both elementary school Parent Teacher Organizations met over the summer to discuss joining together to form the Otsego Elementary PTO.

UKNIGHTED T-Shirt Fundraiser
The two elementary PTO groups are joining together to sell Otsego Uknighted T – shirts. Any profits from the sale will go to help establish a fund for the new elementary school PTO. A flyer with additional information is available here. The design for the shirts was done by Danya Fackler, Class of 2014.

MOSAIC BY KNIGHTS -

Our plan is to begin integrating some activities to raise funds for future OES needs. Each PTO will continue to have some separate activities for the community, as well as to raise money to address current needs.

However, we are in the process of planning a joint spaghetti dinner and auction to be held with the combined 5th grade musical, in the spring. Haskins parents have traditionally hosted this event at one spring HES musical. It has been one of its most successful fund-raisers and community gathering activities, so the groups see great promise in combining efforts here.

In addition, the two PTO groups are considering holding a joint ice cream social at an earlier date. At this point, meetings have only included the officers, but we welcome any and all ideas from the parents and teachers of both schools.

Please feel free to attend your school's PTO meeting to share your ideas with the officers. As always, thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at our meetings and activities.

Sincerely,

Jane Gray and Jackie McBride
PTO Presidents and all your PTO officers
