Step 4 -  If you still need help, please fill in the online form.  Be sure to watch for a response -you may be given a few extra steps to try on your own, or there may be additional questions about the problem.

The form will require:

  • your name, building, class, and email address

  • the problem (What message are you seeing?  Specifically what is happening?  Not, "My computer's not working!")

  • the Otsego tag #, operating system, and

  • what you have done to try to fix the problem.

Please do not leave a note in Kathy's mailbox, on the desk, etc.

Step 5 - Preventative Tactics:

Save, Save Often, Backup

Become familiar with your computer while everything is working properly - look at where the cables connect - look at some of the settings - take notes - use the digital camera and photograph it

Keep the computer, disks, and nearby area, clean.
