sure you see the Drawing Toolbar; ![]()

you don't, go to the Menu Bar - click View, Toolbars, Drawing.
Draw - Group |
Combine objects so they can be moved, rotated, copied, etc. as one.
Select the first object; hold Shift and select the others; click Draw,
click Group (now there are just handles on the "new" object
instead of each of the "pieces"![]() |

Draw - Order |
Word orders items on top of one another in the order to create them. You may change this layering order by clicking the object, then Draw, Order, send forward or back. |
| Select Objects | Click the arrow then draw a “selection rectangle” around the items you want to select. |
| Free Rotate | Select the object, then click Free Rotate. Drag any green dot to rotate. You can rotate object, but not bitmaps - fill effects don't rotate, so rotate first, then fill. |
| AutoShapes | Click the drop down arrow next to AutoShape, choose a category (Basic Shapes, Lines, Stars & Banners, Callouts, Block Arrows, Flowchart), click the shape. You now have the tool and will draw it in the size you want by dragging your mouse. |
| Line and Arrow | Click the tool, then draw the line or arrow. |
| Rectangle and Oval | Click the tool, then draw the rectangle or oval. |
| Text Box | Click on Textbox to get the tool. Now draw the box, then type in it. |

On
the Drawing Toolbar click the WordArt button. Click the type of WordArt drawing object you want, and then
click O Don't worry - it sometimes looks HORRIBLE before you get it exactly the way you want it! To add or change effects to the text, use the buttons on the WordArt and Drawing toolbars. The WordArt toolbar appears when you click the WordArt special text. NOTE: WordArt requires a lot of memory (file space). Try to use is sparingly, or use alternatives such as different font style (shadow, outline, etc) or color. |
| ClipArt | Click this, select a category, or search, or go to Clips Online. Click on the graphic of your choice. Click the insert button. |
| Fill Color | Click on the shape or text box you already have, click the drop down arrow by Fill Color, choose a color. See pattern features below. |
| Line Color | Click on the line or image or text box you already have, click the drop down arrow by Line Color, choose a color. |
| Font Color | Highlight the text you already have, click the drop down arrow by Font Color, choose a color. |
| Line Style | Click a line you already have, then click the drop down arrow by Line Style, choose a line thickness. |
| Dash Style | Click a line you already have, then click the drop down arrow by Dash Style, choose a dotted or solid style. |
| Arrow Style | Click an arrow you already have, then click the drop down arrow by Arrow Style, choose an appearance. |
| Shadow and 2-D | Click on any shape you have already drawn, then click shadow or3-D. Click the type of shadow or 3-D and it will be added to your shape. |

Use Pattern features from within fill color -
click Fill Effects, click Pattern tab, set the foreground and background colors,
