v. Next
vi. Choose a video setting - Best quality for playback on my computer - OK - Next
vii.
Choose
type - next - method - I prefer to do it manually and use preview
so I have to "start"
and "stop" capture, but have better control
viii. Patiently wait
- it may seem very slow - then - capture has finished successfully -
then wait again while it “imports” the video
Be sure to copy the file to your
folder on the server before shutting down (keep Deep Freeze in mind).
B. import files into a collection
Tasks - 1. Capture video - Import video -
locate desired file, highlight it - click Import
When importing it is easiest if you check the box for "Create clips for video files". Remember, the collection doesn't hold the video file, it only holds the pointer directing to the location of the video file.
Files with these file name extensions may be used in Movie Maker:
Audio files: .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, .wma
Note: mp3 and wma are best, wav
gets distorted, midi will not work
