A. “Rip”
the CD track(s) you want using Windows Media Player:
1.
Open Media Player and Insert your CD into the CD drive.
2.
On the File menu, point to CDs and Devices, point to
Rip Audio CD, and then click the CD drive that contains the audio CD that
you want to rip.
3.
If
there are any tracks that you do not want to rip, clear the check box next to
them.
4. Click the Rip Music button . (The selected tracks are ripped to your My Music folder by default the file type is wma. The My Music folder contains subfolders, labeled with the name of the artist or group, or labeled Various Artists if more than one artist is on the album. You can change the folder where your music files are stored.)
CAUTION
-
An
imported source file remains in the same location from which it was
imported. Movie Maker does not store an actual copy of the source file;
instead, a clip that “points” to the original source file is created and
appears in the Contents pane.
After you import files into your project,
don’t move, rename, or delete the original source files. If you add a clip
to a project after the corresponding source file has been moved or renamed,
Movie Maker tries to automatically locate the original source file. If the
source file is deleted, it must be placed on your computer, or on a location
your computer can access, again.
B.
Import the “ripped” file(s) into your collection within Movie Maker.
1.
Within the
Movie Maker program, click on the collection that you want to import into.
2.
Click on File
3.
Click on
Import into collection.
4.
Browse to the folder where you have the wma file that you
want to import. Select the file, click the Import button; in a moment the
selected file will appear in your collection folder. You will then drag your
music to the timeline.
