A Biographical Report

1.  Determine the person you will write about by going to the first site listed.
2.  Either click on a biography link from the birth date site or go to a biography site listed below for information and a picture.  Record the information on your worksheet.  Save the picture (click here for more details about the picture).

Famous Birthdays - scroll down to bottom, click your birth month, on the new window check your birthday (includes links to other birthdate lists, beneath each date – WP Wickipedia is a great resource - please do not click on SS since it is not working properly, also do not click on BT since it is blocked by Bess) Be sure to read the text if you use the link to Yahoo! - many of the links are commercial sites selling books - you want online information for your report.

Picture - When you have located the picture on the internet, right click it – save target as – get to your own folder on the server – name the file with the name of the person pictured – save. 

To print a picture that can be cut out and pasted onto the paper biography form:  Start a new Word document – insert – picture – from file – go the the file and double click it (it should appear in the document).  Now resize the picture by right clicking it – format picture – press the “size” tab and type in the correction dimensions 2” x 2.5”.  You have permission to print (not from the toolbar) one page on the 4600 color printer (File – print - remember to “drop down” to select the 4600 - OK).
