from the laptop I carry)

To Borrow - sign out/in - all equipment should be in the building on a daily basis - DO NOT LEAVE AT HOME!
GRE - camera sign out with building
principal, other equipment sign out in the lab
HES and WES - sign out with building principal
Please keep all materials intact: power supplies, charged batteries, cables, instructions, CD's, etc.
Sony Digital still camera - remember, some models also take short "movies" (mpg) which can be used in PowerPoint and Movie Maker (on the new Dells) - MGI Photo Suite Instructions
Sony Digital video camera
Microscopes to attach through USB to computer
Projector (can also be used with a VCR)
The larger size in-Focus projectors have internal sound that is sufficient.
The smaller Dell projectors need external speakers (internal sound does not have sufficient volume for a room of students) don't plug audio cable into projector; when projecting from a computer use the computer's speakers just as they are normally connected to the computer, when projecting from the VCR you will need external speakers (OK to use an extra set of computer speakers as long as they have a separate power supply) connect the speaker directly to the VCR instead of the projector..
in-Focus - If projecting from a desktop computer you will only be able to see the display on the monitor if you use a video splitter (a Y-shaped cable). If projecting from a laptop you will be able to view on the "monitor" after you activate the command on your laptop (see your own instruction manual - it varies by computer - usually a keyboard shortcut command is available).
Dell - If projecting from a desktop computer you will be able to see the display on the monitor as long as you have plugged both the tower and the monitor into the two jacks indicated on the projector. If projecting from a laptop you will be able to view on the "monitor" after you activate the command on your laptop (see your own instruction manual - it varies by computer - usually a keyboard shortcut command is available).
Classroom Computers
Most elementary classrooms have 5 multimedia computers of varying ages. See What's Happening for specifications.
All classroom computers may print to the shared network laser printer (black or color) throughout the building.
Laptop Reminder - all Otsego-owned
laptops must be in the building
everyday - if you borrow it (or have one assigned to you for your use), you must
carry it back and forth daily. The same
should be true of the other "borrow" equipment.
